Introducing Scumbags, the new hottest weed strain on the market. And the only place you can get it? GOAT Global’s Westwood location in Los Angeles, California which will exclusively carry the strain until it launches into the California market next month. The barrier-breaking dispensary has been the site of many industry innovations, and the Scumbags launch on Friday, August 25th, was no exception.

What Is Scumbags?

While Scumbags is altogether its own brand, it's owned by Gerry, a founder of The TENCo. TENCo's umbrella includes the incredibly popular Zushi cannabis brand, which famously partnered with superstar Coi Leray on the Pink Zushi strain earlier this year.

Scumbags is an independent company, but industry experts expect to see similar feats of innovation from it based on its creators' legacy in cannabis.

What Is GOAT Global Saying About The Scumbags Launch?

When asking GOAT Global partner Dani Shaker about throwing the Scumbags’ launch event, he said, “At GOAT we want to work with elite figures in the industry that continue putting out designer flower and throwing curated events. We worked with Scumbags and [adult performer/social media influencer] Kazumi to create an all encompassing experience at our space and it was like no other. We probably had over 1,000 people show up, it was like an adult carnival. We had snake tamers walking around with pythons around their necks to a pop-up tattoo parlor, a caricature artist, fire baton twirlers, and most importantly good weed.”

Influencer Kazumi Is On The Cannabis Scene

And who better to call on for the launch of Scumbags than influencer and porn star Kazumi?! Boasting 943K followers on Instagram alone, the 26-year-old is more than just a social media personality, she’s walking proof that you don’t have to be confined to the walls of a 9 to 5 to succeed — and to follow your dreams no matter the circumstances.

In fact, she revealed to Forbes that she’s able to generate $300K a month through her online content creation. (This was last year, we imagine the income has only gone up!)

What Happened At The Scumbags x Kazumi Launch At GOAT Global Westwood?

On August 25th, Kazumi and Scumbags teamed up to launch their new collaboration at GOAT Global Westwood the best way they know how: a party. But before they were fully turned up, Kazumi hosted an exclusive in-store Meet & Greet (a first for the media star), against a backdrop that was completely decked out with the Scumbags logo.

In addition to meeting fans all day long, Kazumi debuted the brand’s new t-shirts for sale, which saw herself and her beautiful breasts posed in front of a slick black car. There was even a bong that was an exact replica of her vagina, that she was so excited to possibly have one of her fans fight for it and take it home.

Kazumi states, “It's really monumental because sex and weed go hand in hand, but for some reason I haven't really seen this done before. It’s setting a precedent for first of all, allowing sex workers like me who are known and haven’t abandoned sex work yet, to venture into other businesses and really fucking kill it.”

The new strain is called Nitro Squirt, which makes sense as Kazumi was formerly known as Kazumi Squirts. This is a such an interesting niche that Scumbags plans to partner with other top adult entertainers for each of their strains.

Scumbags' Gerry On Partnership With Kazumi

Gerry, owner of Scumbags, notes of the partnership: “It's cool. It's different. We're bringing on a different demographic and entering the space in a unique way. We're capturing a different audience from the culture, along with ours. It’s a good blend, and meshes well.”

He continues, “Scumbags is known for its shock value and being an amazing product. We don't cut corners as far as cultivation. Kazumi is heavily in the culture. She's active, she’s always doing podcasts. She's always super engaging with our fans. We feel like that's a perfect fit in order for us to help spread the message.”

Why Is The Scumbags x Kazumi Launch At GOAT Global Unique?

As discussed in our previous article with GOAT Global, they only partner with top designer brands who are making waves in the culture. This one in particular is monumental because both the weed and adult entertainment industries have had to break down barriers and erase the negative stigma attached. It also empowers sex workers to step up and open new business and revenue streams.

Layne Schmerin, owner of the popular weed meme page @smoke, states, “Scumbags is on the cutting edge of cannabis marketing right now. Not only do they have great products with great genetics, they also have a brand that seems to be reaching the masses through social media organically. It's fun to see [them] do pop-ups and people coming out. It feels like a streetwear drop versus a cannabis drop.”
